Edition reference: Black Friday on November 27, 2026. Preparation, observation and continuous improvement; no step guarantees recommendation or sales.

Before you start

Set aside the URL of a D2C product page or a marketplace offer. Have brand, model and variant at hand to check the record. If link capture is unavailable, use HTML/text, file, CSV or manual entry through the paths offered in the product.

You don’t need to invent a detailed persona or fill in unknown attributes. Gather only information that helps identify the item, understand its use and assess its offer. To run analyses, check the configured provider and the quota available in the account.

The cycle

Eight steps, owners and deliverables

  1. 1. Choose the products that deserve attention first
  2. 2. Register and confirm the product
  3. 3. Complete the context with AI assistance
  4. 4. Review the questions and prepare the diagnostic
  5. 5. Record the baseline and choose the fixes
  6. 6. Fix the channel where the consumer buys
  7. 7. Capture again and compare with the same method
  8. 8. Keep a routine during and after Black Friday
1

Choose the products that deserve attention first

Owner
e-commerce, with product and operations.
When
between November 2 and 8, or the first available day.
Deliverable
list of priority SKUs, channels, owner and purchase intent to investigate.
Done when
each item has a specific page and someone responsible for the fix.

Choose a set your team can review. Use internal data on demand, margin, stock and commercial importance. Record outside the platform any business criteria that are not available in it.

2

Register and confirm the product

In Gengine
open Set up product at /app/onboarding and start with the Product step. Enter the item’s page; the store homepage does not replace a product page.
Autofill
review captured data against the source. AI must not invent identity, GTIN, price or stock.
Deliverable
confirmed product and correct offer selected.

Check brand, model, category and variant before moving on. If more than one offer appears, explicitly select the one to analyze. Keep the distinction between product and offer per channel/seller. Don’t mix the TV with a different bundle or two storage capacities.

3

Complete the context with AI assistance

Deliverable
enough context to formulate relevant questions and consciously accepted alternatives.
Done when
no suggestion was mistaken for a proven fact about your product.

Follow the sequence Brand context → Buyer/use → Competing alternatives. Reuse the available context and add only what helps understand the product.

Use the AI features offered in the step and accept suggestions individually. Audience and use descriptions are hypotheses for review. When researching alternatives, open the source and compare category, variant, specifications and price range. A link found does not prove the products are equivalent. You can skip competitors when you don’t yet have a useful comparison.

4

Review the questions and prepare the diagnostic

In Gengine
review the five suggested questions or use the available AI assistance. Work with discovery, comparison and decision, without inserting the brand name into discovery questions.
Deliverable
reviewed questions and context.
Next action
check quota/configuration and consciously start the run on the diagnostic screen.

Hypothetical examples to adapt to your category:

  • Which 55-inch TV should I consider for a bright room?
  • Which features should I compare in a TV for console gaming?
  • How do I choose between options in the same price range for sports?
  • When is it worth prioritizing brightness over other picture features?
  • What should I check in the offer before buying a TV on Black Friday?

Set the audience’s country and language. In Review, use Edit to correct the step you need. Completing setup prepares the diagnostic; it does not run it automatically.

5

Record the baseline and choose the fixes

Owner
e-commerce analyst or agency, with product validation.
When
between November 9 and 15, or immediately after registration.
Deliverable
a short list of actions with URL, problem, evidence, owner and deadline.

Check the evidence available on the product page and read the diagnostic’s valid responses. Separate identity problems, attribute gaps, fit for use and questions about the offer. Record questions, model/configuration, language, market and date for the next comparison.

Prioritize in this order: incorrect product/variant; commercial information that misleads; decisive attributes without evidence; recurring questions without an answer. An unknown field requires investigation, not fictitious filling.

Readiness assesses preparation; observed responses assess a slice of execution. Neither proves conversion.

6

Fix the channel where the consumer buys

Owners
content, technology, marketplace and operations.
When
between November 16 and 22; don’t wait for promotion day.
Deliverable
fixes published in the source channel and verified on the page. Gengine does not automatically publish these changes or sync offers with all channels.
7

Capture again and compare with the same method

Deliverable
before/after comparison with dates, changes and limits.

After publishing fixes, get a new capture of the content through the available means. Check its date. Re-auditing a saved snapshot does not fetch the updated page: it reapplies the rules to the content that was already stored.

If you run a new diagnostic, check the quota and keep the questions and settings to keep the comparison useful. Read the original text and the denominator of valid responses. Run failures must be separated from responses without a mention.

A change in the response does not prove your edit was its only cause. APIs without web search may not reflect recent page changes and do not necessarily reproduce the consumer app experience.

Step 6

Different responsibilities: D2C and marketplace

D2C

Review visible content, variant identification, structured data and the applicable feed. Validate price, currency, stock, validity, payment methods, delivery and policies with operations. Use the validators and dashboards of the respective services for technical requirements not covered by Gengine.

Marketplace

Update the permitted fields, check the seller and record the specific offer. When the problem is in the shared catalog or in elements you don’t control, request a fix from the channel. Don’t try to edit the schema of the marketplace’s domain.

Editorial planning

Calendar up to Black Friday, November 27, 2026

Suggested dates for planning; adapt them to your operation.

  1. Nov 2–8

    Choose priority products (step 1).

  2. Nov 9–15

Baseline and fixes chosen (step 5).

  3. Nov 16–22

Fix the sales channel (step 6).

  4. Nov 23–26

Review priority offers and identities; confirm owners to fix discrepancies. Don’t promise an update timeline for external engines.

  5. Nov 27–30

Operations should check price, stock, seller and validity whenever there are relevant changes. Run additional captures and analyses according to need and quota; this guide does not set up automatic monitoring.

  6. Dec 1–4

Close expired offers in the channels, document what was fixed and compare indicators. Traffic, orders and revenue must come from analytics and commercial systems, with their own attribution rules. Don’t derive sales from AI mentions.

Checklist to take to the Black Friday meeting

If only a few days remain, start with identity errors and the offers of your most important products. Apply the full cycle to one item before widening the scope.

Frequently asked questions

Can I analyze a marketplace product?

Yes. Use the item’s specific page and confirm offer, seller and variant. Carrying out fixes depends on the sales platform’s permissions.

Do I need to fill in all the information to start?

Don’t invent information to complete fields. Confirm the identity and review the minimum required in each step. Additional context should help assess the product.

Does Autofill AI guarantee the information is correct?

No. Suggestions require review and acceptance. An alternative with a source may not be comparable to your product.

Does completing onboarding start the analysis?

No. Completion prepares the diagnostic. Check configuration and quota before starting its run.

Does a higher score guarantee appearing in ChatGPT?

No. Readiness is not a probability of recommendation; API responses are observations of a specific environment.

Does Gengine publish the fixes and track my sales?

This flow organizes evidence, observations and actions. Your team publishes in the source channel and measures sales in commercial systems; there is no revenue attribution inferred from responses.
